Lee Chafer
Founder & Principal Consultant
Lee Chafer is a results-driven swine production specialist with more than 20 years of international experience across the UK, USA, Ireland, and Russia. He has built a career managing large-scale farrow-to-finish and finishing operations — from greenfield builds to complex multi-site restructures — delivering consistent improvements across every key production metric.
Now relocating to Southeast Asia in 2026, Lee founded AgriSwine Asia to bring world-class swine production knowledge directly to Asian and Chinese producers. His hands-on, culturally adaptable approach has been proven across diverse regulatory and operational environments on three continents.
Lee has personally overseen operations ranging from 1,200-sow breeding herds in the UK to a 50,000-head high-health finishing complex in the USA (Smithfield Foods), and a 6,000-sow multi-site business in Ireland. He is equally comfortable in the boardroom and on the farm floor.

Design and delivery of farm-level training programmes and Standard Operating Procedures — including farrowing protocols, nursery management, ventilation management, and sow feeding. Experience training teams across multiple languages and cultures.
Review and renegotiation of feed, medication, and supply contracts to reduce cost of production. Analysis of budget variances and action planning. Experience achieving 25%+ cost reductions in medication and vaccine procurement.
